What is Sled Hockey?
Sled Hockey is ice hockey played in sleds. The sleds have skate blades on the bottoms and players use their sticks to skate and shoot. We may have competitive teams and rec. teams. This is a team for any disabled athlete that can not play Stand up Hockey.
Who Can Sled Hockey?
Anyone who can not play stand up hockey. People with Spina Bifida, amputees, brittle bone syndrome, use of only one arm (can use pushers), Cerebral Palsy, etc.
Why Play Sled Hockey?
Be part of a team where all abilities are acceptedAdaptive sports can help improve physical strength, cardiovascular health, weight control, and psychological health. They can also help participants enhance their independence and self-confidence. It’s the state of hockey and ALL are welcome to play this great game
